Innerwheel-Frauenfeld.ch is the website for a local Innerwheel club. The Inner Wheel Club is an international organization which is closely linked to the Rotary Club, consisting of the wives and daughters of Rotarians.

Features include an agenda, a news feed, a presentation of current board, and a catalog of projects supported by the Innerwheel Club. All these sections can be edited via an Admin part, requiring a authentication.

Techniques used

The website presents a clearly laid out design, based on lightweight CSS. PHP handles the server side part, in conjunction with a MySQL database. No ready-to-use CMS or framework was used on this site.

Features of the website include a full-blown forum (with a public and private section for members), photo galleries, a vocabulary trainer for English and French, a shoutbox and many more.

Techniques used

The website is styled in a Web 2.0 fashion, with a lot of gradients and subtle shine effects. It heavily relies on AJAX, but nevertheless features full support for older browsers. Besides the client side Javascript, PHP is used on the server side. All dynamic data is stored in a MySQL database. The Website is completely hand coded, no ready-to-use CMS was used.
